Instant dessert? Ok, not instant but as close as you can get to instant home made dessert. Heck yeah, it’s possible! We’d like to introduce you to these simple 1-minute mug cake recipes by Gemma Stafford. Funfetti Mug Cake
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons (2oz/ 60g) unsalted butter
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons (50g/ 1¾ oz) self-rising flour ( to make SF flour add 2 tsp of baking powder to 150g/6oz/1 cup plain flour)
- tiny pinch of kosher salt
Chocolate Banana Mug Cake
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- ¼ cup (4 tbsp) peanut butter (or any nut butter)
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsweetend cocao powder
Red Velvet
Ingredients
- 4 tbsp flour
- 4½ tbsp sugar
- ⅛ tsp baking powder
- 1½ tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- pinch of salt
- pinch of cinnamon
- 3 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp buttermilk (substitute sour cream or yogurt if not available)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- ½ tsp red food coloring
Apple Crumble
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 heaping tablespoon brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon applesauce
- ½ tablespoon vegetable oil
- ½ tablespoon milk
- ⅛ teaspoon vanilla extract
- crumble topping
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Rainbow Mug Cake
Ingredients
- ½ cup (100g) white sugar
- 1 sticks (100g) butter, softened at room temperature
- 2 eggs at room temperature, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cups (110g/ 4oz) All purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- pinch salt
- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, food coloring
Sorry, but me and my friend made the multicolored cakes. And unfortunately they tasted like , but they look super cool!
That stinks, how did they taste? I haven’t gotten around to making the multi colored ones yet but now I will see how they turn out for me.
It says 1 minute mug cakes, I microwaved it for a minute and it wasn’t even done? I made the chocolate banana one, anyone have a good time to nuke it for?
Having had just the same problem, I found the original video on YouTube and the discription there says that the recipes each make 2 mug cakes. So I’d try cooking 1 cake for 2-2 1/2 minutes
