How long does it take to solve a Rubik’s Cube? For us… an eternity. But for Colin Burns, just a mere 5.253 seconds. That’s amazing by anyone’s standards.
What’s even more amazing is he can solve a cube with one hand. We’d be happy if we could just solve it the normal way. Right now, the only way we can solve is to take it apart and put it back together the right way.
So what’s Colin’s secret? He’ll be the first to say, hard work and practice. A pretty amazing feat from a pretty amazing kid.
Collin Burns is the new champion of the fastest Rubik’s cube solver in the world. This year he broke the record set by Mats Valk from the Netherlands two years ago. He is now the new record holder of the fastest person who was able to solve a three-by-three-by-three Rubik’s Cube in as fast as 5.25 seconds. Collin rocked the cube at the World Cube Association (WCA).
Did you know there was a World Cube Associateion? Neither did we!
