After a long tiring day, to sleep in the comfort of our bed is what we are looking forward to. But sometimes, falling asleep doesn’t come easy. The common advice we always hear is to count sheep. But after staring blankly at the ceiling, hours is just passing and your frustration is just increasing, you still can’t sleep.
This can’t always be happening, that’s why after reading a couple of sleep remedy articles, I found a simple one. A special tea with some steamed milk, this soothing drink is a must try.
We will be needing a tbsp of dried lavender, 1 Medjool date, valerian root, steamed milk, honey and hot water.
1.Start with placing a tbsp of dried lavender and Medjool date into a tea infuser and dip it in a mug. Add hot water and let it sit for 10 minutes to fully extract the flavor.
2. To have an additional boost, add 20 drops of Valerian root into the tea. Finally, fill the mug with steamed milk and some honey on top to sweeten up and give it another sprinkle of lavender.

Lavender is known for its calming and relaxing properties while Medjool Dates have an abundant amount tryptophan which makes us sleepy.
Next time you’re having a hard time falling asleep, take a sip of this tea. Make this a habit. Not only that it is helpful for your restless nights, but is also healthy.
