Shooting Star Caught On Dashcam In Broad Daylight

Ever wonder what the end of the world might look like? This commuter on his way to work managed to film just what it might look like. The whole incident was caught on his dash cam and it happened before nine in the morning on September 7, 2015, at the Ngamwongwas road, Nonthaburi, Thailand. What he filmed was a meteor burning it’s way through our atmosphere. According to US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the meteor was said to be the biggest meteor to enter the earth’s atmosphere this year.

Thank goodness it never made it to the surface. Scientists told the Thai News that if this meteor had hit the ground, the impact would have caused a 3.9 kiloton explosion. That’s about 1/4 as powerful as the atomic bomb dropped in Hiroshima, during World War Two.

The meteor was also captured on another dash cam video that had surfaced online. This one was caught in Kanchanaburi Province right near the center of Thailand.
