Sesame Grilled Whole Salmon Recipe

Here are the ingredients:

  • 12 oz salmon fillet (skinned, center cut)
  • 1 tsp canola oil


  • 2 tsp Kikkoman soy sauce
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • Honey
  • 2 Tbsp canola oil
  • Garlic
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar

Here’s how:

In a small bowl, mix marinade ingredients all together until well incorporated. Brush the mixture onto the salmon fillet. Next, cut into 3 equal portions. On a medium-high heat, add oil to a non-stick skillet, then add the salmon. Cook for about 5 minutes on one side, then turn and cook for another 2 minutes on the other side. Gently remove from heat.

1st Way: Rice Plate


  • ½ cup cooked rice
  • ½ cup steamed vegetables
  • 1 tsp roasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp chopped chives

On a plate, simply prepare and arrange cooked rice, steamed vegetables, and salmon fillet. Then just top it with sesame seeds, chives, and parsley. Simple. All set!

2nd Way: Summer Salad


  • 1 cup butter lettuce hearts, separated
  • 2 strawberries, sliced
  • ¼ cup pea shoots

Honey Ginger Soy Dressing:

  • Kikkoman Soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp scallion, minced
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp canola oil
  • 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 garlic clove, grated
  • Salt and white pepper to taste


First step is to mix and whisk dressing ingredients all together. Next add seasoning to taste.
Prepare lettuce in a bowl or plate then top with strawberries, pea shoots, and salmon fillet broken into pieces. Pour dressing over the top.

3rd Way: Pasta


  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • Garlic
  • ½ Tbsp capers
  • ¼ tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp Kikkoman soy sauce
  • ¼ lb linguine, cooked
  • 1 Tbsp fresh dill
  • Lemon juice


First, melt the butter in a large skillet over a medium-high heat. Next , saute garlic, capers, and chili flakes until butter begins to brown.
Add Kikkoman soy sauce then toss in cooked pasta.
Transfer to a plate along with salmon filet. lastly, garnish pasta with dill and a squeeze of lemon.
