Tired of peeling garlic cloves one at a time? Well, this kitchen hack might help you solve this tedious problem once and for all.
Todd Coleman, SAVEUR magazine’s Executive Food Editor, will show you the easiest way to peel a head of garlic in less than ten seconds. It’s like performing magic in your own kitchen and this trick works flawlessly every time.
Follow the instructions below or see the video on how to do it.
To perform this trick, you’ll need:
2 deep bowls of equal size (make sure they are or else the trick won’t work!). The bowls should be made of hard materials like metal or Pyrex. The Last thing you need is a dry(not fresh) garlic.
Pick a head of garlic and smash it using the heel of your hand to open up the cloves
Put the garlic into the bowl. Get the other bowl and invert it over the top of the first bowl.
Third and Final Step:
Hold the bowls together where the rims meet and shake it for 10-20 seconds, until the cloves have been released from their skins.
Viola! Peeled garlic in 10 seconds! Pretty simple, yes?
