6 DIY Photography Gifts For Any Occasion

1. Iron On

Materials:

  • Laserjet print on normal paper
  • Wood
  • Tape
  • Iron

How to? 

Tape the photo on the wood then just simply iron like a boss.
Don’t let it cool down and keep going! You’ve got yourself a nice hashtag – #woodfilter effect

2. Wood Transfer

Materials:

  • Laserjet print on normal paper
  • Wood
  • Matte gel
  • Mod podge
  • Brush and cloth

How to? 

Paint gel with Matte gel. Place photo facing down.
Smooth out creases then leave to dry for 8 hours.
Once dried, gently wipe off the paper with a rag. Lastly, cover with Mod podge. Voila!

3. Pano Lamp

Materials:

  • Photo printed on transparency
  • Lamp
  • Tape

How To?

Just stick the photo around the lamp. That’s it – you’ve got yourself an instant romantic lamp.

4. Eternal Flame

Materials:

  • Photo negatives
  • Candle holder
  • Candle
  • Tape

How To?

This one is easy-breezy as well. Just stick the negatives around the transparent candle holder and lit the candle inside it. Bring positivity to the negatives!

5. Lantern

Materials:

  • Photo printed on transparency
  • Lantern
  • Tape
  • Candle

How To?

Measure and cut photos then split them by sticking onto the corners of the lamp. Light up!

6. Wax wonder

Materials:

  • Laserjet print on normal paper
  • Wax paper
  • Candle
  • Hairdryer

How To?

Cut out the wax paper. Place the photo around the candle and hold the wax paper as well around the candle. Fire up the hair dryer. The candle wax will then slowly melt slightly. Now, pull off the paper and light up!
