1. Making the Banana Mold
To make a banana mold, grab a banana for your model – it can be the real one or a plastic toy if you have one. Get the putty molds, (Amazing mold putty) and take equal amounts of yellow and white putty, mix it all together by squishing it nicely. Mixing the putty together will make the putty hard so work fast in wrapping it all around the banana. Squeeze it firmly unto your banana model to avoid trapped air that might ruin the texture of the mold. Allow it to harden within 20 minutes. After it has completely cured, cut it in half.
2. Shaping the pencil case
Take a small amount of putty so you can create a nice, thin and hollow pencil case that could accommodate more school supplies. Squeeze it firmly together and put it into your banana mold. Press the putty to get the detailed form of the banana. Since the putty is thinner, it will quickly cure after 2-5 minutes. Take out the putty and clean it by cutting out the extra putty. Do the same procedure for the other side.
3. Putting it all together
Once done, connect the two halves of banana putty you created by putting some additional putty on the bottom part. For the front part, connect it with a colorful zipper by sewing it (glue just don’t work). To add a realistic effect on the banana, paint the pointed parts with green color just like a freshly picked banana. Customize it more by piercing the end point and snap on the key chains.
Now you have a nice delicious looking pencil case.
