You will need:

  • Sturdy old clutch bag in plain color
  • Lace material
  • Ribbon
  • Needle and thread
  • Glue gun

1. Wrap the bag with the lace. Open the flap of the clutch bag so you can glue gun the lace on the inner sides of the bag
2. Secure the sides by making a rough stitch. Hold the lace material tight while stitching.
3. To cover the flap of your clutch, cut excess lace but leave at least 1-inch allowance so you can fold the edges inside for gluing
4. Don’t forget to cut the extra lace on the sides of the clutch bag. Cut them out then glue gun the ribbon on the sides to cover the stitches.
5. Cut the part that covers the lock of the clutch and tucks the lace in the sides of the button

Recreate your clutches or make a box clutch and you can save a lot of money. Experiment with the combinations by letting your creative juices flow.
