There are times that you wanted to try out some DIY videos on how to cook something yet you end up not doing it. Why? Maybe because they are vague and very confusing. Another reason is that ingredients are so many, expensive and hard to find. So you end up canceling that yummy plan. Well, cancel no more because this video is perfect for all those concerns. The ingredients are very easy to find that even your baby sister or brother may have left one of these in the fridge.
Peanut Butter S’mores Dip
First on the video track is inspired from that Boy Scout/Girl Guides’ camp-out. It’s an outdoor activity favorite but it’s being improvised indoor, the Peanut Butter S’mores Dip.
To make this yummy dip you will need:
- 1 pound mini peanut butter cups
- 1 pound large marshmallows
- 15-20 graham crackers
To start with, place the peanut butter cups in a non-stick pan. Arrange it in a single layer. Then place the marshmallows on top of the peanut butter cups. Then bake under 350°F/175°C for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes take it from the oven and serve it as a dip for your graham crackers.
Cookies & Cream Truffles
On the next sweet dish, you will need:
- 36 chocolate sandwich cookies
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 12 ounces white chocolate, melted
Place the chocolate sandwich cookies in a blender and crush the cookies until they turned very fine. Reserve a small amount of this cookie crumbs for your sprinkles later. Combine the cookie crumbs and cream cheese in a mixing bowl. After mixing evenly you will have to chill the mixture. Wait for the mixture to harden for an hour or more so that you can be able to shape or roll them into a ball easily. When you think that the mixture is hard enough to hold into shape, roll all of them into a ball. Then dip the balls into the melted white chocolate, sprinkle with cookie crumbs and …. Viola! You got a Cookies and Cream Truffles ready to serve.
The next 3-ingredient sweet stuff will only need:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup cane sugar
- ½ stick melted butter
First step is to brush the melted butter over the puff pastry. Second , sprinkle a half cup of sugar into the pastry. Spread and press the sugar evenly with the help of the rolling pin. Then do the first and second steps on the other side of the pastry. Starting on the edge of the pastry , roll it towards the middle. Do the same on the other edge forming an almost heart shape. Then chill for 30 minutes. Once the pastry is set, slice it and they should look like a heart shape. Place the sliced pastry into the baking tray, allow spaces in between for expansion. Bake it in the oven at 425°F/220°C for 15 minutes. Once the sugar caramelized and turned into golden brown it is ready to serve.
Triple Decker Brownies
And the last but never the least, here are the ingredients:
- 1 16-ounce tube cookie dough
- 16 chocolate sandwich cookies
- ½ box brownie mix – prepared according to package instructions
Prepare a cookie dough, 16 pcs of cookie sandwiches and a bowl of brownie batter. The first step is to get your 9×9 baking tin. On your first layer/bottom, press the cookie dough until it is even. Place the cookie sandwiches on the second layer/middle. Then pour the brownie batter on the top it for your third layer/top. Spread it evenly using the spatula. Then bake it at 350°F/175°C for 45-50 minutes. Then after baking, slice it and serve with a smile to satisfy the sweet tooth excitedly waiting.
